Amami Brown Sugar Shochu
里の曙 ゴールド
A supreme character, glowing amber.
Spirits produced by vacuum distillation and by atmospheric distillation are each matured slowly in separate oak casks. Time in the wood adds depth of aroma and a beautiful amber color. Enjoy a rich character in which the sweet, mellow aroma drawn from the cask meets the soft flavor that only brown sugar shochu can offer.

Oak Cask Maturation That Brings Out the Character of Brown Sugar Shochu
A light, gentle spirit from vacuum distillation, and a spirit from atmospheric distillation that draws out the raw materials with real force. We judge the character of each and blend them carefully, at the balance where they harmonize most beautifully. The maturation and blending skills Machida Shuzo has built up over many years create a flavor that is at once mellow and deep. Enjoy the concentrated, generous character woven from vanilla notes drawn from the cask and fruity notes drawn from the brown sugar, and the supreme taste that glows amber in the glass.
A Pleasure Unique to High-Strength Spirits: the "Partial Shot"
Freezing a high-strength spirit and drinking it that way is known as a "partial shot." A spirit of this strength will not freeze solid even in a domestic freezer; instead it pours out thick and viscous. The savory character becomes concentrated, and the mouthfeel turns remarkably smooth. When you enjoy a partial shot, remember that much of the pleasure is lost once the spirit warms, so pour it into a small shot glass and drink it a sip at a time.
