In Pursuit of Easy Drinking
The vacuum distillation that Sato no Akebono adopted ahead of the field is a method that draws out the gentle aroma native to brown sugar and gives a light mouthfeel. Working to keep the flavor of the generously used brown sugar while arriving at a crisp character that never feels heavy, even chilled and served straight, we settled on the fine balance of 18% ABV. On the rocks of course, but mixed with sparkling water too, it offers the full aroma of brown sugar and a clean finish.
A Cool, Composed Presence
Built around a blue that recalls the beautiful seas of Amami, with a spiral bottle shaped after the waves. Our feeling for our home in Tatsugo is set into that crisp, cool presence. The label is water-resistant against droplets and cold, so it stays looking its best even when the bottle is chilled in the refrigerator or a wine cooler. As with our flagship Sato no Akebono, the design takes the Tatsugo pattern, the best-known figure of Oshima Tsumugi, as its motif, expressing the coherence of the brand.
Freeze It, and the Serves Multiply
Freeze the 18% ABV in a cooler bag or an ice maker and it takes on a pleasant, sorbet-like texture. Turn it into a glass and enjoy it as it is, or pour in juice or tea for an easy cocktail. Outdoors, freezing it in small portions in a cooler bag doubles as an ice pack, which is remarkably handy.
